Got details?

I couldn't find anything on the PDGA calendar nor the City of Conroe website.

Man, I'd love to play a tournament at McDade but I think I need to work on my game a bit before I feel comfortable in a tournament setting.

didnt batman biker say this same thing earlier?

anyways, this wouldnt be a good first tournament for someone because its a '4 person scramble' and not a normal tournament.

Here's a little more information in case some don't understand how the scramble will work.

I'm so excited that you are interested in attending our charity event! The registration will start at 8 AM and shotgun will start at 10 AM. With the 4-man scramble, we will group each team with 2 pairs so that players are playing with friends and family. But there will not be a team that consists of 4 members who all know one another. We will have several contests going on at the same time. A 100% cash pot for winners of the hole-in-one, $2 mulligans that give contestants a chance at some door prizes (Gift cards up to $100; disc golf gear; sports items, games, etc) and games for the kids.

Below are JPG's of the official flyer. Looks like a four-person team Best Shot format, should be a lot of birdies going around. Also looks like you can bring your own 4-person team or probably be assigned to one when you get there.

I'm in too. I'm waiting on clarification from Michelle@Walmart about the format. The description on the registration form doesn't quite match the paragraph from her e-mail that Tracy quoted earlier.

Re: Course Conditions

I spoke with Michelle and here's how they're planning on running it:

A team will consist of four memeber split into two pairs. Each pair will be playing on a different card. So it's not really a four-person scramble. Each pair is playing "best shot" among two players.

The team score is the higher of either pair (not the total) and they're paying out to the top team only... winner takes all.

Additional details that aren't on the registration form: they'll have a BBQ pit running with food available and your entry fee is tax deductible.
