TAT Grand Opening - Thanks Comm. Radack and Precinct III
 

There will be a grand opening ceremony at Texas Army Trail on April 13, 2012 @ 10:00 am (Friday). Commissioner Steve Radack will be there. This would be a great time to thank Commissioner Radack and the parks department officials in person for their support of disc golf. If you cannot make it there in person you can email and call in your appreciation for having the new Texas Army Trail disc golf course, the new turn-in for the course and the parking lot. As president of the Houston Flying Disc Society, I am asking you to volunteer some time to send an email and make a telephone call expressing your appreciation for the course, the turn-in and the parking lot. It is important for the disc golf community to demonstrate appreciation and support for the public parks and recreation officials that support disc golf. The course is still being modified and improved, and continues to become a better course with the help of volunteers like you through all of the things you do to support disc golf in your community.

I just got a nice letter from Precinct 3 saying how important parks and green space are to the community. Perhaps we can use it to show other areas what a good thing disc courses are?
