What will the local TDs do for this division this year? Will birdshot and others allow a 1 man division or do I need to petition the PDGA to move down to am? I want to get back into tournament golf, but I'm not competitive in open, not old enough for GM and I've taken cash in the past.

Provided your rating is less than 970 you can play in am divs even after taking cash , aside from nt's and Majors

If a registered Pro want to play MM1 you need to be rated under 935.

But, in a nutshell, it looks like BS will run 1-person divisions at a C-tier, and 2-player divisions at B-tiers...just in case you have to stay in MPM division because of your rating.

I generally play in MPG because I'd rather play for cash than more plastic, but I'll move to Am division if there aren't enough in MPG. In your case, I see some pretty good competition in the MM1 division if you are allowed to play in Am divisions.

I'm curious what my rating will be. I haven't played in a PDGA tournament in over 6 years, and probably only 2 or 3 since 2004. My rating was about 970 back in '03/'04. Not sure how it's calculated in my case. I guess I'll find out when i get reactivated on the PDGA site.

Hey Jim, I was pretty much in the same boat. I believe it will pick up where it left off, and you rating will still be 970 until there's something to factor in that will change it.

I may not have any rating since I don't have any PDGA rounds in the last 24 months. Either that, or my initial rating will be whatever it was when I last played, but at the next cycle, it'll be reset to only include rounds from this ratings period.

Do you have an idea about what rating you're playing at these days? I'd guess around 920-930 but that is a pure, subjective guess on my part. I'm thinking that it should provide you an opportunity to play either Advanced Master or Pro Master divisions.
