New 6-hole Disc Golf Course on West Side
 

Hey everyone, I am 90% complete with the install of a little 6-hole DG course located at BridgePoint Bible Church. I still need to do some significant clearing on hole 2 to open up one of the routes and do some general debris clean up left over from Ike, but it is playable as is. The church is located off of I-10 just west of Eldridge. Specifically, it’s located at the southeast corner of Katy Freeway and Memorial View. Memorial View is located approximately ¼-mile west of Eldridge and may be accessed just south of the church from Memorial Drive or from the east-bound Katy Freeway frontage road. I would have really liked to have gotten 9 holes in, but there just wasn’t enough room. That said, I think you’ll find that the 6 holes are enjoyable to play and require a good bit of accuracy/touch to yield a birdie.

This goes without saying, of course, but the Church is welcoming the public to enjoy their property and expects those that do to treat the course with the upmost respect. I think that’s enough said on that topic.

If you play it three times, you get an 18 hole score. The current course record is only a 52 (my first round) and I expect that to fall quickly. Anything at or below 48 will be a very good score. Hope everyone get's a chance to check it out.

I played it on Monday and it went pretty good. I only played through once, but it was a nice challenge. I feel like if a little more foliage was cleared out I might be able to shoot 19-20 pretty consistantly there. I liked it though.

Exactly a 5 minute jog from my job! Thanks Jim. This is a great place to practice your tunnel shots. I spend 15 minutes on hole one (fewer Mosquitoes) driving this fairly open yet still challenging tunnel. Good practice!

Here is a challenge for you... Run the course three times for an 18 hole score, timed. Each stroke above/under a 54 is a minute addition/deduction. Here is how I fared on Saturday:
First Attempt: 15'43", Score = 53, Resulting Time = 14'43"
Second Attempt: 15'37", Score = 51, Resulting Time = 12'37"

This course looks nice from the pics. I might just check it out one day, and hit it and moffit
