Baskets, baskets...we found some baskets!
Brand new DGA 'No Frills' New Mach II baskets at Windwood Presbyterian Church on Spring Cypress just east of Hwy. 249. No frills means no collars so the poles are cemented directly into the ground. That means they will be there for awhile! That's great...it's 5 minutes from home! :p We counted 5 but could only find what seemed to be the tees for 2 of the 5. Couldn't really figure out the rest of the layout. Who's in charge? Scott 'Tarrazar' Hawkins perhaps? I believe he is the one who got a DisCatcher basket put in the ground near the playground at this church a while back. Someone speak up! Is this going to be a 6 holer (DisCatcher makes 6) or are there more baskets to be installed?

Re: Baskets, baskets...we found some baskets!
Yes there are 5 baskets in the ground, the discatcher on the childrens playground is not part of a course.
More information to come in a few months:cool: |
Re: Baskets, baskets...we found some baskets!
That's awesome!! It would be my new closest course! If you need any help with anything let me know.

Re: Baskets, baskets...we found some baskets!
Please stay off the course for now. The church has a school and some serious child protection policies during the day. There is a sheriff on campus all day and they will escort you off the property at this point. Please be patient and the course will be open to the public very soon. As you know churches and school take the protection of their children very serious....if it comes to saftey or a disc golf course they will pick saftey and the course will be removed. Trust me the church is excited about the course and it will be open soon. We will let you all know. ASAP! :-)
If you have any questions please email me. I am the Sports Ministry Director at the church. drogers@windwoodpc.org Peace |
