Payout Open Division

Question for you guys that play in Open division. In a mini format (say $10 entry), what percentage of payout do you guys prefer?

I think that the PDGA recommends 40%, but If I were a great player, I would think that 20% would be sweet.

Give me your opinions, thanks

I think only first and maybe second place in each division should be paid

Re: Payout Open Division

I think that PDGA is now 40% but I'm old school and I usually try to stick with top 3rd for Pro divisions and top half for Am divisions. I vary a little bit with the Commando Mini payout because I have arranged my payout tables to all be in increments of $5 so that I don't have to worry about keeping enough $1 bills on hand. Because of that, I don't follow the PDGA payout charts because they'd have us splitting it up down to parts of dollars (change) and I damn sure don't want to carry around a box of quarters every week!
