Maybe it's the stigma of the word "pro" itself....hardly anyone is a "professional" disc golf player....and since our game is a "poor man's" version of ball golf....plus we're in a down economy right now & many of the really higher rated players who could play "pro" maybe don't want to shell out the extra bucks to do so? There are all kinds of factors that might attribute to our lack of "pro" players....let's face facts, though....the great majority of players in our sport are ams...always have been...always will be! Same with ball golf....thousands of people play rec golf, but only a few ever go "pro"! As far as Birdshot goes, read our mission statement one more time....it was never our intention to "cater" to "pros" in the first place. So sour grapes from pros who would rather go where the cash is....well, sorry about that....and sorry that our area doesn't seem to foster pro players.
