As Chuck said, we did do a bit of trimming...I know Jake had said "DON'T DO IT!", but this was different. We weren't just trimming for the hell of it to open up a shot...we were trimming so you could walk (in the case of the woods holes) and then we did trim around a couple of baskets where branches were literally bent & hanging in front of the basket! The big tree in front of hole #4 will probably have to come down...too bad...that tree is part of what makes that hole challenging (apart from the sometimes mando through-the-woods drive). And the "octopus tree" guarding #9 is not so much of an octopus anymore. All in all though, the course is not in nearly as bad a shape as we thought it would be...I thought there would be downed trees everywhere, but it was mostly branches that were broken & hanging all over the place. If nobody made it out last Thursday because of evacuations & preparations, we'll talk tonight about making up that week instead of taking a drop...maybe we can play twice next week or something like that.
