Just another short observation:

Other than regular or serious disc golfers, the general public/casual disc tossers do not know that the folks maintaining these courses are all volunteer with a few minor exceptions. Those of us that have invested a fair amount of sweat equity in maintaining/improving these courses are particularly angered with course trashing/vandalism and have an invested right to confront miscreants.
Maybe we should put up signs explaining the volunteer aspect and request the courtesy of doing likewise? But then again, these are probably kids still living at home and momma is still cleaning their room and picking up after them.

In my short experience with this sport I've noticed that disc golfers in general, from recreational to pro will even take the time to pick up other peoples trash let alone carry their own. For this I am grateful.
