Anyone who knows Richard knows that describing him as "mild mannered" is an understatement. And anyone who has been around the disc golf scene in the past couple of years is probably aware of the great contribution Richard has made, and continues to make, to the Houston disc golf community. I don't have to imagine what it took to drive Richard to resigning from HFDS; I don't have to imagine because I experienced the same aggravating behavior from someone who brings
absolutely nothing to the Houston disc golf community but shame and embarassment year after year.
Richard Fason resigned as President of the HFDS because the HFDS was attacked publicly and Richard, as President of HFDS, took the attack very personally. It's a shame that no one else on the board took it as such. I can admit that some Jo Schmo Rec player storming out of an HFDS meeting might not be such a big deal but your
PRESIDENT, just walked out. Hello!!!
But the "disc golfer" in question is just like a child. If there are no consequences to his behavior, apparently "for the good of the disc golf community and what few friends you have left" isn't motivation enough to get him to change that childish behavior.
