Opening day of the 2011 USA Ultimate College Championships is in the books after a full day of competition in Boulder!

Some of today's notable results include:

OPEN DIVISION:
·Defending champion and third-seeded Florida went 0-2, losing in a major upset to Luther College (19) and Wisconsin (6).
·The North Central Region (Wisconsin, Iowa, Carleton and Luther) went 8-0.
·Hometown favorite Colorado was the only top-seeded team in its pool to go undefeated.

WOMEN'S DIVISION:
·17th seeded Iowa State upset Tufts (12) and played overall number-one seed UC-Santa Barbara to a close 11-13 loss.
·In its first appearance at Nationals, Colorado College (15) upset sixth-seeded California and tenth-seeded British Columbia.
