Default Re: Lost Discs In Pond

People not calling on discs is a problem EVERYWHERE regardless of the "economic background" no matter where you go. The problem at Bear Branch is that the town rarely CARES about the course enough to go out and have the gumption to say NO to the kids swimming in that pond.
Years ago, when Wyatt was going into the ponds, it WAS a HUGE problem. The park rangers confiscated what he had grabbed out of there and everything. Now, I'm pretty sure you have to have an AARP card to even apply for the job of Woodlands Park Ranger. Chase is VERY good about calling or holding onto a disc if he knows the owner. As for the other guys, the NSCG does a pretty good job at confiscating the discs which have names and numbers we know. The guys are getting craftier now and taking off names and numbers, making it more difficult.
Anyone who finds this problem to be unique to The Woodlands kids need only receive the email from Neal last week in which he was..... shall we say "disappointed" in the fact that many of the discs from the Links were recovered but not returned. True, Woodlands kids are spoiled, but if you knew the guys swimming in that pond, you'd know the are most likely using that pond as a bath tub and means of making money. They hardly fit the mold of the typical Woodlands kid.
