Default Re: Lost Discs In Pond

I've had this idea for awhile now, what do you guys think about this....

Each course is kind of set up with someone to overlook it right? How about if we build some type of locked Drop box, kind of like a large birdhouse looking structure for each course that doesn't have a club house like SV and plant them near the #18 baskets.

The course supervisor has a key to it. Over time people will get use to seeing them and a nice little "Good Karma" sign could be made up and attached to it, letting people know that if they happened to find a disc during their round, they could drop it in the box and let the course supervisor take the hassle of contacting it's owner and returning the disc. And if you lost a disc during the round, even if it didn't have a name on it, you could drop a note in the box describing it and the course supervisor would keep the notes and try to return disc that were found even without a name on it..

You might see more disc returned to rightfull owners, because maybe people just forget or don't want to hassle with people showing up to their house or going out to meet someone.

Case in point, I've got a disc I found at Moffit, I've contacted the owner here on the board, but I don't play Moffit that much so I haven't had the opprotunity to meet the guy...Chilidog (I think from this board)

Just a thought.
