Official thanks to everyone who has helped in any facet with any of the tournaments that I have been to. It hasn't been that many compared to most everyone on this board and all the others around town. I have been playing tournaments since Thanksgiving weekend and have about two sanctioned tourneys/month since. Without all of the volunteers I wouldn't have had a chance to enjoy a competitive friendship with all the people I have met. Without casual guidance from all those before me and around me I wouldn't be where I am right now. I wish that I could do both, play and help volunteer. We've tried to find that balance of both helping where we can and playing as much as possible, but it's really hard. I only hope that I can give some back while I'm out with my surgery. I hope that maybe what I can do while i'm down will give some more of you who have been volunteering a chance to experience the fun and community of Houston Disc Golfers that has kept me out on the practice fields, putting in my back yard, and yes on youtube/hfds.org/pdga.com for hours on end looking for the next disc/tournament/other secret that could possibly let me enjoy this sport more. I haven't found anything yet to top just being around friends with the backdrop of this great sport where a goofy white kid with bad ankles can come out and play and feel rewarded for a decent throw, only to want to have another, and another....
