Welcome to the 19th Annual World's Biggest Disc Golf Weekend May 2nd and 3rd 2009. If you’ve been curious about the sport, this is your best opportunity to try it.
We will have people there who will be happy to teach you how to play.
It’s a fun family oriented activity.
Disc golf has been called, "the worlds fasting growing sport".
There are over 3,000 disc golf courses worldwide.
Over the last 19 years, the WBDGW has introduced disc golf to hundreds of thousands of players.
This event is disc golf's version of a "fun run," with an emphasis on participation rather than competition.
The World's Biggest Disc Golf Weekend is headquartered and was created in Austin, Texas in 1991 by John Houck, a two-time World Champion in Freestyle Frisbee and disc golf's premier course designer.
This year we have over 100 cities/events and 10 countries participating worldwide.
We would like to raise at least $50,000 for 4 major non-profit organizations. They are the American Red Cross, Disc Golf Foundation, Council on At-Risk Youth and Educational Disc Golf Experience, EDGE.
We are looking for local sponsors who can donate drinks for the players and special prizes to be given away.
