The course was designed by a Parks board member that does not have much disc golf experience. That happens from time to time. My recommendation would be to have a professional disc golf course designer come in and do the tweaking. But it aint my park. What is my business is what kind of tournament Birdshot should have there. Not PDGA sanctioned is the best way to go for now unless it gets redesigned. Some of the alternates had the same fairway clashing problem. Its a beautiful park. The baskets are double chained. The wood posts have a nice plate on top for hole #. Needs some amenities like a trash can or two by the pavillion, maybe 3 trash cans by teeboxes. Probably won't get water fountain or electricity, but a permanent port-o-potty should be standard for any park I would think. Locals are as friendly as can be and love their disc golf. They keep the trash picked up. Birdshot was honored to be invited to run a tournament there. We'll be back next year sanctioned or not depending on the course design. "Work with what you got".
