I'm going to agree with Larry on this one.
First, you don't win a prize for having the most threads on your MB. Empty threads don't do much. I'm a TB player and I'd almost argue for it's removal.
Second, course threads should be sorted by most used. Those courses which have the most Leagues/tournaments/player use should be easily placed at the the top.
Third, course discussions on non-Houston courses should to to the MB of the people who support those courses. If you want to discuss the Golden Triangle courses, you're going to have a lot more discussion on their web site than here.
Fourth, in general, as in all things, cleaner and organized is better than messy. Furthermore, the directory structure of any modern computer related system, and the notification tools, make sub-directories, i.e. "Other Courses" style directories, work quite well. Feeling snubbed because your course has been placed there seems a little silly to me.
Fifth, I think Lou and Larry are correct, no course that isn't really a course should have a thread. It's hard to go above 9 holes since we'd immediately have only a few threads, but 6 holers should not have their own threads. Frankly, doing so makes us look like we're competing with the next town over for most courses.
Just a general note, maintaining a MB like this one is a fairly thankless job, the structure of this one while maybe not great, was done by Larry (if I remember correctly) out of his own time. I'd cut Larry some slack here if it were me, and I'd give him a ton of leeway in the way he wants to set it up, unless I was willing to run it myself. Then of course Larry would have the fun of commenting on how he'd like to see it run.
