Mini Medal Friday Night Lights @ Spring Valley

Friday Night Lights (FNL) is now officially underway on Friday evenings at Spring Valley. We made small noise about it last week and had 26 players. Everyone said it was a blast. Now we're ready to make some big noise about it and the new 18 hole course layout all on the golf course. Play begins at dusk, although we start getting the course set up before that if you'd like to check it out before dark. Rounds begin as soon as the course is in place and players can tee off until 9pm. Right now it's not a tournament, but groups are welcome to anti up and play for their own bets and wagers. We plan to schedule an organized night event in the near future.

Cost is $5 and everyone must sign up at the Pro Shop. Entry comes with a couple of glow lights, but we also have LEDs for sale. We have tape on hand for adding lights to your discs and you can also bring your own lights.

FNL@SV...Hope to see you there!

Thanks so much for making this happen. I am just trying to figure out how to get out of the house again this Friday.

Love it at night,

Ok, the chance of rain has diminished significantly since the forecast earlier this week so we're going to make some more noise about tomorrow night's Friday Night Lights at Spring Valley. The new 18 hole course (all on the golf course) will be in place by dusk, maybe earlier depending on golf traffic. Some nice long holes and some nice ace runs too. All the baskets and tees are lit up. Everyone gets a couple of lights with the $5 green fee, but you can bring your own and we also have Rod~N~Bob LEDs. We also have a little Southern Star on hand for donations to US Women's. If the weather looks a little iffy, call ahead just to make sure, but we're likely doin it! SV Pro Shop # is 281-351-8628.

This is too cool! I'm looking forward to playing soon, but not tomorrow.

Friday Night Lights will take a break for about a month to let sunset move earlier into the evening. The first two weeks we had a really good response and turnouts but some VERY late nights. We're going to take a little break to tweak the course and plan the first organized night event. Tentative date is Friday Night, October 7th. Stay tuned...more details to follow!
