chinger, you should take some of that donation and buy a disc retriever for the club and/or spring valley players, eh? no, yes, maybe circle one and pass it down.

True it is, but your entry into the mini also gets you your pass for the rest of the day. Many people end up going out again, or getting together and deciding on where else to play.

Yep. It sure is. The wonderful thing about Spring Valley is that Mike O'Brien (owner) likes the disc golfers and is willing to let us make course improvements!

Andi requested the participation of the Commando Mini in a course improvement fund and I agreed. Maybe we'll get some additional seating on some of the holes...the stuff that was placed out there several months ago has already rotted and fallen apart.

I have a hard time imagining that $2 per player for all-day greens fees allows for any extra money left over for course improvements by any other means.

Alex Hughes had a really cool ace at last night's mini. His shot went in through the side! Actually got stuck going through. Nice payout though. Congrats Alex! Mark "Dutch" Olden has a great pic of it.

Many thanks go out to the 16 players that turned out for the Commando Mini this morning!

We had at least 3 new faces out there this morning as well as a couple of "old ones" that we haven't seen in a while! Thanks for coming out and thanks for supportig Texas States!

We had 8 in Open, 6 in Recreational and 2 in Grandmaster.

Ed - It's always a pleasure to play against you, today I happened to get a little "luckier" than you and came away with your money this time! Yikes!

The Ace Pot is at $108.

I should be making this one. I know there's tourneys in Victoria and Cedarville, but I hope the turnout will be ok since this will be my first time @ spring valley. What format do you guys usually play at the minis? Do you mix it up and play some finesses holes and some of the power holes? Do you play all 27 holes? or do you strictly play the finesses holes?
How early can I show up at the course to practice? I'll be playing the course blindly and wouldn't mind getting a few holes in before the round to get a feel for the course. Is there a dress code like there is at Quail Valley? Finally, where do I pay? At the pro shop or do I have to hunt down the TD?

Sorry for all the questions, I'll be out of town starting saturday morning and I'd like to know before heading out there on sunday.
