Anyway we could have a Sunday afternoon Mini once in a while for those of us who have Church and other obligations on Sunday Mornings?

I think that the time for the comando mini has been set in stone for some time now. However, if there were enough interest, I myself would be willing to run a North Side Chain Gang mini regularly out here after the comando mini was done. But again, I'd need to know if we could generate that much interest without hurting the effectiveness of the Comando. But if the regular comando is changed, it will kill the momentum.

![]() A sunday afternoon mini sounds like a good idea. Spring Valley is the best course to host a mini since the other N. side courses get too crowded w/ casuals. |

I'm not real certain about it, but I think Andi and Don decided to run a Sunday afternoon mini at Spring Valley instead of a weekend league. I know that they were considering it, but I don't know if they've ever promoted it as such or not.
The Commando Mini was established as regularly scheduled mini tournament to be a fund-raiser for Texas States - a "cause" that will always be dear to my heart. ![]() I am sorry that its schedule doesn't fit for some folks... I frequently travel out of town for tourneys and I also wanted to ensure that the schedule of the mini didn't interfere with anyone wanting to attend a Birdshot event, or any single day event that might be happening. |

It's looking to be a bit on the chilly and windy side this morning!
Dress warm gang! See you out there this morning for the 10:00am start. If anyone wants to carpool up there ever, please give me a shout. I live very close to the TC Jester course and can swing by the parking lot there if anyone ever wants to carpool up to the Commando. We need to be out of that parking lot though right at 9:00 am to make it up there and have time enough to throw a couple of putts.

What blast of a round today folks!!!
The weather was SO perfect out there, that 6 of us decided to stick around and play a second round of skins! We had 15 players again this morning. Good turn-out folks! |

Oh, I forgot about this. I might've seen some of you up there that day. I dropped into the pro shop sometime in the afternoon for a few minutes to check out some discs and heard a few guys in the back order hot dogs and talk about playing a second round. I'm going to try to make it out and play next week.

Great news Brennan!
Make sure that you talk to me when you sign up so that I put you in a division that you want to be in. Last week we had 9 in Open and 6 in Intermediate. I always advertise the fact that I'll host even 1-person divisions if you want (and I've often done that too!) I'll put you where you want to compete at, but most players will step up to play in whatever division offers a little competition...ie. Rec players often step up to Intermediate and almost all advanced guys play in Open. When Ed Morgan shows up, he and I will almost always forma a Grandmasters division between the two of us. Women almost always compete against just the other women too. You should come on out and throw a round with us though...we are a very friendly group of players. |
