Default Sorting Courses

Okay - this may not be a big deal - but I was wondering. How in the world are the courses arranged on this site in the main forum section. I assume one would do it by alpha, but am I missing some mysterious order. I see Oak Meadows is last, so does that mean they are placed in chronological order?

Again, not that it is a big deal - I just scan for the course I want, but doesn't it make sense to have them arranged by Alpha?

I too have wondered this. And if you ask me the threads should be locked, only new ones created by request because its turning into a big mess. Each course should have 3 threads - Course Conditions, Tournaments & League, Lost .

I think they were originally arranged by approximate popularity.

Seriously, kick Larry in the shins when he gets back from his honeymoon. If that is the only reason, would it be difficult to make it by alpha? It's just eating at the OCD in me!

Actually, I kinda like the popularity order that puts the active sub-forums near the top of the page.

I think it's good to have general course info at the top, but after that in area courses it just makes sense to go by alpha. If popularity is the basis why is Oak Meadows at the bottom? Is it just because it was so new when it was added to the forum page? As always - my .002.
