I didn't really know Jim, but I know how much he meant to a lot of people out there. This is very sad news indeed...but his suffering is over now. My heart goes out to his family & friends...and I know that he will be missed.

If you're from Houston, attended PYMWYMI or any other event at the Snow Farm, you most likely knew Jimbo and his better half, Diane Killackey. He was always in a good mood, and all about a good time. He also loved to cook for people when he was at the Snow Farm, and was pretty darned good at it. He was one of the original Moffitt Rats, and will be sorely missed in the disc golf community. Please keep Jimbo and Diane in you prayers. If you play PYMWYMI this year, along with the traditional PYMWYMIIIIII yell, give an occasional one for JIMBOOOOOOOO!!!
Thanks, The Colonel

I hope that Jimbo finds himself in a better place - one where he only scores birdies.
Jimbo Slusher was one of the original Moffitt Ratz. He helped us dig a lot of the tee boxes at Moffitt and we logged many rounds out there together. He taught me the the Monster Nine and I wouldn't be surprised if he was on the very first Advanced Masters card I played on at my first Texas States back in 1998 or 1999. Rest in peace my brother...we'll play on a card again someday. |

Prayers and support for Diane and Jimbo's son. My first time to Snow Farm back in 2001 was for a Jimbo birthday party. He was also the first person I met at the Ice House.
Jimbo, we'll see you again! |

Jimbo and I started playing at Moffitt about the same time back in '96. I remember going to the Snow Farm with him and his son and ex back then, and then heading up to Austin to play Pease...throwing X-Clones & Cyclones & such. ha! We shared a lot of good times at Moffitt, the Brittmoore Ice & The Snow Farm, along with the other original Moffitt Rats...Mad Dog, Cowboy, Brew, Jay, Teri...back in those days. RIP, brother. I haven't seen much of you over the past few years, but I'm sure gonna miss ya.

He coined a few of my nicknames chubakon, chubacka, chuy! and the ol' Chuy I love ya!, but shut the heck up! I played doubles with Eric a couple of years at Texas States and remember challenging Jimbo one time at league! we had tied and I insisted on a throw off instead of counting birdies vs. bogies...
I remember visiting him in the hospital a few years back and bringing him fajitas! I walked into the hospital hallway and yelled PYMWYIMI as loud as I can as you would often hear Jimbo doing. It was great he loved the food and so did the nurses! I will try to be as good a person as Jimbo showed me how to be! oh yeah! a few old schoolers remember the JImbo snapapop! throw. He threw it on 6, 10, 18, and out at the snow farm a lot! Anyone else remember that throw and care to describe it? It was weird and I hurt my shoulder trying it! |

Yep...the Snow Farm events of PYMWYMI and TxSt Doubles won't be quite the same without him. He was always the last one to check in on Friday night... It's how I knew it was time to go to bed. I hope that we might be able to hold a little rememberance for him up there too. I'll be Waterloo and miss the one Teri mentioned...
