DG ProShop/Birdshot $10,000 Hole-in-One Challenge

On March 31st DG ProShop & Birdshot are teaming up to bring you the biggest Ace Pot to hit Texas Disc Golf, ever. We're throwing a pre-Texas States Party at Gulf Greyhound Park, just down the street from Jack Brooks Park, featuring 100 disc golfers attempting to hit an ace worth $10,000 over the pond at Gulf Greyhound Park.

Thursday night is 50¢ beer and 50¢ hot dog night at Gulf Greyhound Park. They usually get 700-1,000 folks there on Thursdays. They're all going to be rooting for someone to make that ace.

Free, limit one throw per person. There's probably going to be a lottery for spots. We're working those details out.

You MUST be registered to play in Texas States though. If you're not on that list then you won't be throwing in this event. So, register already. I believe there's only a little over 100 spots left.

Bummer, I have church obligations on Sunday so I can't play in States. I will be cheering on all that are throwing.

Just for truth in advertising, there have been many $10,000 hole-in-one events in Texas.

I think i remember a $25K once.

Ask Neal or Alex about that BIG one at LO! Texas Ten, think it was actually $30M. They were the only two to even get close.

I remember seeing a $10,000 hole at The Sleeper in Dripping Springs...pretty sure it was the 18th hole. However....Chris, I forgive you for misspeaking yourself! Chris gets really excited about these things and I'm sure he didn't know about other such ace challenges (obviously) in the past. As far as the rules of the challenge, I would assume it would not have anything to do with normal "ace" rules....if the insurance company says it has to go directly into the basket, then that's what has to happen! But the main point was to invite everybody out to the party at the racetrack that Thursday night to kick off States with a cool, fun event! It seems to me sometimes that a lot of you out there seem to have forgotten how to have fun....wussup wit dat?

I believe the largest ever was at the ball golf disc golf challenge in Austin about 8 years ago. One Million for ball golfers and disc golfers alike.
Coda hit basket and Vinnie missed the cup by three inches, pretty awesome to watch, and listen to Vinnie afterwards.
