Friday Night Lights!

Hey there, Southsiders!!! Chris MacGregor & myself have been talking about another Friday night game because THEY'RE SO MUCH FUN...so we're going to set up this Friday, November 27 for a little glow golf! Chris will be buying the lights for the baskets...be sure to pick up some little LED lights at Academy for your discs...we'll meet up around 7:00 & hopefully tee off by 7:30! We'll play the regular tees & then the alternates for 18 holes....we will NOT be playing the usual 7 & 8 (the water holes) because it's hard to fish one out in the dark (even with lights on!)...we will be playing the alternates that the locals are familiar with instead (if you don't know what we're talking about, don't worry...we'll show you!). So come on out on Black Friday night at Miramar Park in Seabrook...no entry fees...we're just playing for fun! Oh....and since Chris is buying the glow sticks for the baskets, if a few of us bring beer & turn him on to a couple (or a dozen!) it would be greatly appreciated! Hope to see a few of you out there!!!

Miramar night game tonight, Friday the 13th.

Random flip-doubles.
Sign-up starts at 8pm, first card out at 8:30. Sunset is at 8:05, twilight ends at 8:31.
Bring $1 for Ace Pot, $5 entry. If an ace isn't hit, y'all are paying me back for the glow sticks.
13-hole-unlucky course layout: 1-6, 9, concrete-by-9-to-4B, reverse-3, 5alt, short-6, 8alt, 9alt
Yes, I know that means we're going to have a lot of crossed holes. Cards must be three holes apart. Also, pay attention and don't get hit.

Keep it quiet on holes 1-3 by the houses.

Everyone needs to have some sort of night type disc, either a light on it or glow stick or a glow disc. The only exception is your putter, and we're not going to look for it if you lose it.

This Friday night June 3rd, 2011....come on out to Miramar around 8:30 & meet us over around the fairway between baskets 9 & 5....bring a chair & we'll have a great view of the fireworks at the Kemah Boardwalk! Oh yeah...bring $6 with you, too...we'll be playing flip doubles afterwards! We'll be doing probably the same configuration we did on the last Friday the 13th a few weeks ago...avoiding the water holes. Bring your glow discs and/or LED lights & we'll get started after the light show...if nobody hits the ace pot (that's what the extra dollar is for) it will go towards paying Chris back for buying the glow sticks for the baskets. This is actually a fun course to play night golf on, so we hope to see you there!

The view of the Kemah fireworks from the Miramar Disc Golf Course is great too. You'll be able to avoid the crowds at Kemah and play a great round of night golf.

Many thanks. Maybe next year we will buy bulk. For this week, I bought the glow stuff from the Dollar Tree. Costs me about $7 to light up Seabrook for the night.
