With the upcoming Birdshot series starting in just four more weeks, those of you players who are PDGA better get current if you haven't already (I need to do it!)...remember, it's an extra $10 if you play in a sanctioned tournament & aren't current! I'm not trying to advertise for PDGA (I think the $10 fee sucks!)...just trying to save you people some money!

Just got through renewing online on the PDGA website...took less than five minutes! They immediately shot me an e-mail receipt which I made a copy of....and that's all we need to see at the next tournament if you haven't received your new tag/card/etc. Once again, it's very important that everybody do this ASAP if you plan on playing at least five or more sanctioned tourneys this year....otherwise, it's an extra 10 bucks! Amateur fees are still $50 and Open is $75.....go to www.pdga.com to sign up or renew!

Remember about the various discounts available on PDGA memberships.

Mailed mine in for 0.44 cents. Got an email confirmation 3 days later. PDGA and Breinner Enterprises were quick on getting Cool Cool Water on the tour schedule. Hopefully it will be that way all next year. Birdshot is going to make a major push to have all of our PDGA tournaments on the tour schedule by early next year. Still waiting on approval from State Coordinator Gary Duke on our 2010 schedule. We dropped our Dress Rehearsal for States, too much going on in March. We also dropped our Agnes Moffitt tourney since HFDS has 2 there already. TLV has temporarily been dropped from April until we see what the redesign is going to be. I think Birdshot will end up having at least 12 PDGA sanctioned tournaments next year. Quail Valley, Pleasure Island, Winwood, McDade, Klein, Kingwood, Dunbar, Shawshank, MacGregor, Jack Brooks (B)?, Spring Valley, Snowfarm. Oops, got offthread. Sorry.

I'm moving my question from the Cool, Cool Water thread in In-Town Tournaments to here (which is where it should be).
1) How do we join the HFDS? 2) What is the cost of membership? There should be a link on the home page! Thanks!! Susan |

Susan,
Please be patient while Nick gets the information up. ERic had published a couple of links in another thread somewhere which he asked me to verify. The information on those links is all still correct and current. The information came from the "old, old" version of the website. Many of the raw files are still present in the website file storage areas, it's just that all of the components can't be re-assembled based on the old template for it. Nick is working hard to make a new website functional. I'm sure we'll be seeing it operational sometime this week - probably today most likely. Larry |

Larry: I just wanted to make sure that these membership questions were in the proper place where they would be answered, hopefully in a timely manner (considering it's renewal time for the PDGA). I'm sure I'm not the only wondering about this.
So you're saying that the old membership form is the one to use and that the dues are the same, right? Susan |
