Jack Brooks Birdshot League

Birdshot (Chuck DP Discer, Billy Birdshot) and Disc Golf Surfers (Jake Walsdorf) are teaming up to start a league on Tuesday nights, flex start 4:30 - 6:00. 1st Tuesday is August 19th. Unfortunately Jake will not be able to help out this six weeks...he's already got another obligation on Tuesday evenings. As far as I know, Chuck & I will be out there this afternoon...Chuck should be there by 4:30 & I'll get there ASAP after work. Flex should be between 4:30 & 6:00....$20 for the whole six weeks....you get to drop your two lowest scores (or miss two weeks, whatever it turns out to be)....hope to see some people out there!

It's not too late to join this league...you get to drop your worst two scores (so those who didn't show yesterday...that's one!) and we still have five more weeks to go. Come on out next week! I'll actually have to miss that one, so there's one for me!

Hold everything folks! I talked to Jake and he said that Thursday would be better for him and more people play out at Jack Brooks on Thursday than Tuesday. So Thursday it is. Tomorrow will be the kick off for Summer 2 league. Attachment is too long.

Jake is in Utah this week & it looks like it might be raining again this afternoon, but I'll be there to meet Chuck anyway. If nobody shows up, maybe we can try to kick it off again next Thursday. If we get a few this afternoon, then great...we'll see.

Raining pretty hard in Clear Lake right now (1:15)....we'll see what's happening in Hitchcock this afternoon. By the way...last flex should start by 5:30 if you want to make sure you have time to finish before dark (or the park guys kicking you out!).

If Billy, Jake, or I are out on the course when you come by on Thursday to play league, just grab a scorecard from the mailbox, play, and put the scorecard back in the mailbox and I will pick it up later. 3 to 5 players on a scorecard. If you haven't paid yet, just find Billy, Jake or myself and give us your $20 plus $1 for the Ace Pot (optional).

Man, I go away for a week and all hell breaks loose. Rain, mosquitoes and a league starting up again at Brooks. Looking forward to Thursdays once again. And a chance to dominate...

Last year we had between 20 to 30 players at our weekly events. I invite everyone to come play and tell your friends too. Especially if they play for cash...

Welcome home, Jake! Now, if you can just go out to the course in the next couple of days & kill every one of those little bloodsuckers...I personally would be most grateful. Hopefully word is out now & all you Brooks people & anybody willing to head south on Thursdays will show up en masse! The more the merrier....and more hands to slap those pesky skeeters!
