To answer your questions, the old tee signs should be coming out any time now, the church agreed to remove them for us and we are just waiting. As far as new signs, i would say later this month we will have some kind of markers ready. The berm you are talking about is the teepad for #16 which shoots between the two treehouses. Regarding par, I guess some of the holes could be par 4. I will just have to think about it more. With bear branch, i dont play there often, but its all about when you go, so i know what youre saying. |

Sounds good. I updated my review on DGCR - http://www.dgcoursereview.com/review...&mode=rev#7991 to better reflect where you're at in the process. Keep us posted on updates, so that way reviews can remain accurate.
Keep up the good work!!!

I think it's a diservice to the guys building this course to log onto DCR.com and review/rate this course. Even when it's completed, the courses score will be averaged from the scores you give it now...
Give Derek and John the respect of letting them complete the course before rating it or posting "cons" about old signs being there... Just my opinion but he works out there most every Sat-Sun... Grab some work gloves instead, I'm sure it would be much more appreciated..

![]() Having said that - please note the "updates" part of my post. I had reviewed this course in its original form months ago before the redesign was in place - so the review is not going anywhere - and Lord knows that wouldn't be very accurate any more of a disservice to users of DGCR - a well traveled site that many of us frequent. However, I do find it beneficial to many people who use the site to get an updated and accurate review since some people can't just get out to the course when they feel like it. Ratings aside - I think it's cool to let people know where the progress is at - which it's really no different than updating a forum page. And yes, I change my personal ratings of a course based on where it is at in the completion phase - same as many have done with your Windwood course. They are works in progress for a reason - the reviews and ratings are an ever evolving process of opinions. I think it would be less respectful to Derek and John to leave an old review that doesn't reflect the present stage of their hard work and misleads people to think it's a crappy course. Either or, I'm glad for their efforts, hope they keep sending updates of their progress, and are not mad that I want to help spread the word of what they are accomplishing with over 10000 DG'ers across the nation. So, before you cast a stone - I hope you remember that DGCR has done pretty well for Windwood's word of mouth - let's hope it will do the same here.

Steve it was not my intent to single you out. It was a general statement to all.

I will say this - It definitely annoys me when someone reviews a course in progress and just leaves it unchanged until the end of time. I can understand how that would piss you off since it's not an accurate reflection of a designers hard work. I have read those types of reviews and then gotten to a course only to find that it's drastically changed. That's frustrating. Windwood and Jack Brooks - Cedar Hills are perfect Houston examples of this right now. You, Leafy, and Jake have poured your blood, sweat, and tears into your respective courses - so I get where you were coming from (but admittedly I was a bit testy from the remarks )But, again - for my part - I try to work really hard at making sure my reviews are detailed, accurate, and up to date with current course conditions.

it sounds like someone just took it upon themselves to be the course reviewer. dont most people ask to have that done after they feel they are all set up?
