Default Moffitt Clean-up?

Anyone interested in spending an afternoon or evening cleaning up the tree debris left from Ike? If you're interested, let me know some good dates/times and if you have tools (chainsaws, tree trimmers, wheelbarrows, trailers, etc.).

I'm sure you all know there are quite a few fallen trees and limbs scattered.
It may be a while before the City comes to clean it up so thought this might be faster if we did it ourselves... This is YOUR park so spread the word! Thanks everyone...

Scott

do not bring your chain saw, that is the cities job. there were people using hand saws which I believe is fine. The city does not allow pedestrians to use chainsaws on there property.

Ah, good to know that! Looks like Conrad is trying to put something together for this coming Saturday... Me and a couple others might start this week on some of the lighter stuff and do what we can.

We're a long way from Ike now, but this looked like a good thread to post on regarding a little work being done tomrrow in preparation for next week's tourney. Chuck & I will be out at the course about 8:00 tomorrow morning to work on tee boxes & alternates...mostly the alternates because the regular tees are pretty much rutted out & there's not much we can do with them. I imagine for the tournament we'll be flagging the regular boxes right behind where they are now. The alternates aren't used as much so there's not a rut problem....they're just a little overgrown. Anyone who's interested to come out & help please feel free to do so!

Thumbs up Re: Moffitt Clean-up?

Many thanks to the Stallman Bros, for taking the time and making an effort to work the t-boxes! They were out on Saturday....even Mama Stallman ventured out! I'm sure when it dries out a bit, they'll be great. They are better now, just hope the rain keeps the activity of play to a minimum, so they'll hold up.

Thanks Stallmans!

Sounds Like they are doing a clean up on Saturday, after League Play. I imagine that the time will be around 12:30 or so. This will be a good time to clean it up and get it ready for the Ice Bowl. The T-pads will be the most important thing to get fixed up.

I will make it here after i get done with the Mini at Windwood.

We were out there working Saturday, so I'm not surprised that thread jumped out at you, Matt! And thanks for the help also!! I guess it depends on Mother Nature & Conrad as to how many get to be used this weekend...if some of the boxes are really wet, they could be flagged. We'll have to wait & see!
