March 27-28
http://www.texasstates.org/ Hey guys, I found the date on the PDGA tour schedule. I know it's early, but is there any other info available at this point? Is Birdshot running it again? Are there meetings being held yet? This will be my first grand master year, so I'm a little excited about it.

This year's States will be held the last weekend in March (the 27th & 28th)....this is NOT a Birdshot event! It is already on the tour schedule on the PDGA website, but online registration has not started yet. Chuck Conaway (once again TD this year) is holding the first meeting tonight following the monthly HFDS meeting at Tia Maria's on Dacoma in NW Houston. Everyone interested in helping out is encouraged to come! I'm sure HFDS would be happy to see as many people as possible step up & put some work in this year...and there's always plenty to do! I believe the HFDS meeting starts at the usual 6:30 time....States meeting immediately afterwards.

As most of you already know by now, the 15th Annual Texas States Disc Golf Championship will be held once again at Tom Bass Park the last weekend in March (26-28). For those of you who have never played States, I wanted to urge you all to sign up early. There are a certain number of players allowed per division & once that pool fills that's it! Unless someone drops out or spots become available the morning of the event, you'd miss out on a great oppurtunity to play Texas' biggest event for 15 years running! Thanks to HFDS for putting this thing on again & please visit the website for registration information. Go to www.texasstates.org.

Are there any maps with distance and location of all of the different course layouts for states on the net?
Are the tee areas for the alt. courses marked at Tom Bass? If not when will they be marked? I am getting phone calls about the courses from out of town pros that want to practice the courses before the week of the tournament. |

This is a good example of why the PDGA board needs to be monitored, and field questions as they arrise. To show we're interested in our potential players and what they need in the way of information..............
so they will come. |

Glass Blown is already full on the Pro side and it is two months away! You just gotta get the word out and tell people about your event. |

Just got through with the PDGA discussion board. Keith Vest is inquiring about the Dragon hole, Tourney #16. I plan on moving the tee box slightly to the north this year to take the road a little more out of play. Will it still be the Dragon hole? Sure, just a different Dragon guarding the basket. I think I will buy a blow up Dragon and let it float around the island.

You might want to do that, otherwise, folks might forget it's a dragon.
Good to see you post on pdga. KV is crying/posting on all the threads about TX golf, so take his comments lightly.
