All of my good contacts with the city have retired, old farts. Try Allen Teague if he is still there, lots of pull with all departments. Jose Cantu might be able to throw in a word, close to the Mayor. Mention my name, will help with these two or may get you crucified with others. LMAO I have one outside contact that has some stroke, let me know if you might need some help, before it is done. I am a long way from Pasadena now but still could maybe make a couple of calls, not that anyone would listen but just offering. I could always call Mr. Isbell. we got along good. Do not mention my name to the Parks and Recreation Director Kirby Cardenas, had to whip him on a job site years ago, he will still remember. LOL One of the useless humans that inhabit this earth. IMO

Soap Box, Thank You !!!!

If you are one of the fantastic people bringing a basket tomorrow, please try to show up around 7:30 so we can get them placed before people start showing up to register (and practice!). All of the temps will be on the back side of the park, so go ahead & take the drive towards the back parking lot & look for us (I'll be driving my usual black PT Cruiser!). Thanks again!

I want to let everyone know that I'm moving hole 18 from the location on the map, but don't have time to edit the map. Pasadena has stocked the lake with trout and park gets a lot of families out fishing on Saturday mornings. Hole 18 is a favorite corner of the park for fishing, so instead I'm moving it to an area behind the NW softball field.

The course is still pretty damp along the front 9. Holes 16, 17 & 18 are muddy and wet in parts. I'm glad we're going to have the full 18 for the mini.

Finally, the Valero gas station at Genoa-Red Bluff and Burke has 32oz Orange Gatorade for a buck, cold.

The Redemption of Burke-Crenshaw was a big success. We had a total of 31 entrants in the tournament and played a full 18 hole course thanks to basket donations for the day. The post-mini report has been posted to the Birdshot website. We've got photos, slo-mo video, results and more.
