hey there fellow discers... i play out bass every day since im a mile and a half away... i understand the parks dept. concern on dragon hole. I HATE IT!!! during the day the only traffic is sheriffs and parks vehicles. weekend would be a little different. I would love to donate a innova chastity belt basket if dragon would be permanent and original tee local. if not i have ideas about other options about a TRUE Dragon hole safe for public but deadly for discers. Ohh yeah where wilmont tee 12 no placement out there stil very wet with weather coming. just so every one knows the back end of wilmont along bayou has been clear cut and dredged. i think a good course going over is need to inform participants properly. PLEASE GET A KEG OF SAINT ARNOLDS ROOT BEER FOR US WHO DONT DRINK AND THE KIDS AND PREGNANT NURSING MOMS WOO HOO...

Hello HFDS688,

Tell me more about this alternate Dragon hole please. Wilmont #12 teebox moved northeast for a shorter anhyzer throw. You mentioned a good course going over for the Wilmont. Where do you want that done at? Here on the message board? Tournament program? Players meeting? I can tell you that there will be a temp basket for Wilmont #13 and a bag placed over the permanent one for the tournament. The permanent one is loose and is still good for casual play. We have talked to the parks dept. about mowing around basket #7 and hole #8 right before the tournament. Too bad they don't mow those locations all the time instead of sticking to their straight line mowline. I guess because it is just a disc golf course. Why bother. (Sarcasm). We are not asking players to like the new Dragon layout, just understand the parks perspective. I saw a truck get hit from a drive at last years tournament. Players are concentrating on their throw, not traffic as they should. Its my job as TD to make sure the players don't have to think about distractions like traffic. It still has a lot of OB.

Sign DP Discer up for deep breathing classes. I think that was a fly up for "Prostaph"

The truck was hit last year using the same setup as this year where if you choose to go left you are throwing directly at the road instead of along the road........the new box makes noticing a car harder whereas the old box had spotters and players on the lookout.

I think making it 2 holes would be cool with the 1st being a 350-360ft shot across the water onto the strip of land and the next around 400-420ft across the water (like the normal upshot) with maybe a mando or something forcing you to throw between the guardian trees to a slightly longer pin position

The 1st would see 2's just as much as 4s and 5s and the 2nd could bring birdies with a great shot or a bogey if you do not make the mando or hit a tree and fall in the water.

Anyway it sounds a little better than just throwing really far and landing near the basket for a 2 or easy 3.

Very nice suggestion, maybe that would allow to ELIMINATE the amphtheather hole that was considered one of the lamest last year from what I read.

This year we are doing a different take on the amphitheatre hole. You stand anywhere on the amphitheatre stage and throw the disc pretty much straight up and must go at least higher than the sound mixing structure. When the disc comes back down, you make a circle with your arms and try to have the disc go through your arms. You can't leave the stage area. Count the strokes to do that. Does not count towards the Ace Pot if you do it in one throw. Have not been able to get the PDGA to approve it though.

I like it, but you gotta make a rule that you must throw a driver, no putters or mids

Why not just go all Mind Freak on it & attach razor blades to the outer rim! That would really make it interesting! But seriously...Matt's idea sounded pretty good. The "powers-that-be" should look into that!

I like Matt's suggestion too. Play the 'Little Dragon' and then meet the 'Mother of a Dragon'.
