All,
On Wednesday I went to the city hall meeting to hear the future of disc golf in the area park near my house. The park is still being maligned by Clear Lake High School coach Mark Horton who is quick to lob any accusation that he can think of to try to get the course removed. The good news is the longer the course is in the park the more residents of the area realize that Horton's accusations are being blown way out of proportion. Fortunately we had 8 year-old Peyton Botik show up at the city hall meeting with a number of signs in support of the course. This kid should be disc golfer of the week for his enthusiasm and willingness to stand up to Coach Horton false accusations. The course also heard support from a retired resident who frequently walks the park and scoffed at the idea that disc golfers posed any sort of concern for people in the park, "They're all friendly people," he said. Here's an article on the meeting from the course website and one from the Bay Area Citizen. |

Is there a way to find out what his favorite disc is and send him a couple?

I've asked his mother for suggestions and let everyone know what she says. Maybe we can collect discs and such for him at The Moffitt Show and Dress Rehearsals for States?
