FYI - We've always given money back with proper notice....I have a check registry to prove it. Unfortunately the morning of the event does not constitute proper notice....the night before shouldn't be proper notice either. By that time we have already calculated the payout, which really speeds things up with DGC getting the vouchers together for their payout. You see, we really do have good reasons for doing the pre-reg....believe me, I'm tired of pissing people off with this issue....but we do have our reasons.

Gee whizzzz - people got's to chill out!

Pre reg is a fine policy. Don't like it - then don't do it. Want to play, then sign up. Simple.

The returns / cancellation policy is posted.

Their goals are public knowledge.

Thanks for stepping up & running your series. Keep doing it your way. What your doing is good for the sport.

I'll be there playing Open. Just got off the phone with a player who is signing up for Masters.

Sue, Twin Parks is a great place - you'll like it!

See y'all Sat...unless yur skeerd!

Damn, Matt...and I thought I was long-winded!!! Thanks so much for your support & help & friendship....yeah, people...friendships! Wow! An unexpected side effect of playing this thing called disc golf...imagine that! I'm not trying to fight anybody, man....I am a genuinely nice guy who likes to get along with people. That's my problem...I hate conflict...I guess that's why I try to explain our way out of these message board "battles", even though I guess I need not bother since, like you said, the people who have complained don't even come out to play. However, I...like you...wish that they would. It seems to me that it would only make things better, not worse. When I talked to Tarazarr earlier this morning, he told me of his reluctance to play in any of our previous tournaments because of the "battles" on the message board...he rightly assumed that it would spill out onto the course...but we all know that's not the case. The only bad day I've ever had was maybe Mazolla because it was so damn hot! I had a pretty bad headache going that day....the computer was on the fritz....we screwed up on cards (especially regarding Nicole's position...I hope she forgives us & doesn't think we did it on purpose, Sue!)...it was a temporary course & a lot of the bitchfest started the week before that tournament. Every other tournament we've had though has run smoothly & on-time...and I always genuinely have a great time (even when I don't have a great game). So...again...thanks, Matt! And thanks to everybody who comes out to play...and there are usually a lot of you.

When I got here..I did think the online fighting I saw/read was probably what I would experience at a tournament, so I figured that's not for me. I thought it was stupid to pay good money in these hard times to go out and do what you love doing just to be caught up in a bunch of negativity/drama. Hell I get more drama in my bands then I can handle

After Matts post saying the people who show up, are positive people who love the game and really want to and are probably willing to get involved in growing this sport here I changed my mind - no I'm not asking for a cookie - thank you

I am a total convert today - Lou I joined the PDGA this morning - thanks for the ribbing in an earlier thread, I deserved that one (the rest of 2008 is free) I'm good through 2009. (though I guess I still have to pay my 10.00 penalty for Saturday) - it's all good

We all love DG - so "Can't we all just get along" - I believe some motorist said that as he was getting the crap beat out of him by a few cops on camera.

I have much respect for all those who came before and paved the way - I want to help pave the way for my son and his friends as well.

I'd love to get to know the "Old Guard", hear their stories and learn from their experiences as I hope to be around this sport long enough to someday be looked at by the youngest youths getting into the sport today as one of "their" old guards, who did something positive and continues to do positive things for them and the sport locally.

So whatever the pressing issue is with each person, I just hope we can all step back, take a breath, forget "our" issue and remember only how much we love this cool little sport, come together as a dysfunctional family can sometimes, and figure out a way together to correct what's wrong and move forward together and keep it growing here. For crying out loud...our discs are still sold on the toy isle at Academy..LOL...See, there are some bigger fish to fry and that's the first one in my book that should be addressed

Scott, if you download your PDGA receipt & bring it with you Saturday then you won't have to pay the additional $10 for non-members...we need to see the receipt though because PDGA won't get you in the system for a few days at the very best (usually a couple of weeks). Once again, I'm looking forward to meeting you & possibly playing on a card with you as well.

I have been playing tournament's for about 8 years and can count the negative experiences on one hand. One is heat stroke at the Fahrenheit Fling and another is hurting my back while playing and having to have discectomy surgery. I have maybe acted like a jerk from time to time at a tournament but never had anyone act the same to me.

Looking forward to Saturday. Thanks Birdshooters!
