The next Birdshot mini will be held Saturday April 24, 2010 at River Plantation near Conroe....see www.houstonbirdshot.com for details! We will probably have lunch & go play at McDade afterwards....come on up to Nawth Side!!!

I've gotten a couple of calls this week asking if it's too late to register online for this one...I'll mention again that we've only filled a mini once (Miramar last year...51 players!), so it's usually not at all necessary to pre-register for a mini. Up until a couple of months ago, there wasn't even a way to pre-register for a mini...that's a new feature Chris added on since we started up our PayPal account. You can pre-register if you want, but it's really not something you have to do...in fact, I would say save the $2.00 & just show up. I'd be really surprised if 45 people showed up!

Talked with Dolla Bill a little while ago....he was out there with The Coop (not Alice!) setting up the alts for in the morning, so we should be good to go (unless some kidz take the flags to use for dastardly deeds...I would suggest to them to use it as a rectal thermometer!). We'll start taking registration about 7:30 or 7:45....try to be there by 8:30 so we can get things started by or before 9:00 please!

We had a little over a dozen Saturday...including a couple of juniors (although one of them played Novice)....Larry Cooper brought his kids & also brought home the bacon after with the Open win (plus the CTP!)...way to go, Coop! Of course, after winning his division at Glass Blown you think he's going to shy away from this little course? I think not! I played Rec with Larry Jr., but ended up shooting better than a couple of the intermediate players....I guess I had a good day (but again, we're talking a pretty EZ course here!). Afterwards Dolla Bill, Chase & myself went to McDade & played some doubles with some folks out there...what a gorgeous day for disc golf! Thanks everyone for coming out!
