Course is a little muddy with a few places with standing water. Since we will have lower humidity and a slight breeze out of the north tonight it will help up for tomorrow's tournament.

Played MacGregor yesterday for the first time in a while and... those tee boxes (medium/red/sticks) are AWFUL. Like Moffitt-bad AWFUL. Big ruts and divots. I was sliding around on the loose gravel. Yuck.

is it possible to dig up the tee markers and move them periodically move them. This applies to all courses and the boxes would be in the same area of the other one. On that thought we could have the tee markers in a sleeve as well and it can be moved to the other tee quit easily.

its probably alot easier to get high in that park then to merely move a park bench. although i agree with chuy on there needing to be alternate boxes and t sleeves,i dont see it happening anytime soon, especially on a public course. silly budgets...

I know new tee posts are on the way at MacGregor. I've also heard talk of redoing the tee boxes out there too. With luck we will see improvements out there soon.

The new tee posts are in - thanks to whoever did that. I'm kind of surprised I haven't been able to find much discussion about them here. It's pretty rare that all tee locations have tee posts, but they installed them on short, regular, and long tee locations. No missing or throwing from the wrong locations any more. They all play from the right unless there's an arrow on the sign, or an obvious obstruction which is the case with a few of them.

Number three regular has been changed big time - the box is now in front of the trees the original location was beside. It's a straight clear shot to the basket. The short (blue) tee has a more interesting look...

Five long has been changed as well. You throw from the right of the original long tee where a clump of trees is located so you can either throw a low shot over the regular tree location, or hyzer around it (for righties).

They look great. Looks like some work has been done to the tee boxes as well, but that may have been done before the new tees were installed.

The city put in the new tee markers.

The tee location should be to the left side of all yellow/gold posts.

#5 long post was installed in the wrong location, the workers must have seen the gold brick pointing to A,B,C and thought that was the location for #5 long. Ed is getting feedback from the league players whether or not to leave it there or move it back to the original spot.

That explains a lot and considering that they did a pretty good job.
