Doubles at Dunbar? That'll be fun! We'll have to take a vote to see if people want to put in money or not...if so, I would suggest $2 per player/$4 per team (so we don't have to drag quarters/silver into it)....random draw instead of divisions...pay out top half. Just a thought....but doubles at Dunbar would be fun!

10 teams = $40

paying 5 teams = 1st $14 2nd $10 3rd $8 4th $6 5th $2

IDK why you would pay 50% when it is only $2........TOP 2-3 is much better

If we play for money it should be at leash $5 a head. Makes it more interesting.

Otherwise, I say we play for plastic... Everyone puts 1 disc in and the winning teams split up the plastic.

Paying top 50% is more fun. When only a small percent of the players make money the events end up just being about money. I'd rather have smaller pay puts and a bigger batch of winners.

Billy:
The directions you posted won't get you there from here. You really turn left on plantation, right on Dixie and right on Brazoswood, not l-l-r. There is a better route off E Main. If you will google map or map quest 100 Parkview Dr,Clute,Tx you will see it. Of course GPS works really great too.
This is the same park where they have the mosquito festival every year.See you in the morning.

Why not pay 100%?

I want my participation Trophy!!!!!!!!!

sheesh when I was a kid the normal was 3 out of 10 for doubles and it is commonly known that casual dubs pays a lower % than a tournament due to the smaller buy-in.

Wonder if they pay 50% in North Carolina? Probably not....they do well at big events due to a competitive/fun culture. If you play for $5 it isn't as bad but paying 50% for $2 is just lame.

We know the pros want to play for more money so we charge $20 for open for a little mini. I've never heard of any other mini that charges $20 for open. And if everybody in the division agrees we will pay the percentage that they agree on. And we allow bullying and intimidation when the division is trying to negotiate the percentage. I think we should restrict this to open and advanced though. No bullying and intimidation in Int, Rec, and Nov, etc.

Not to change the topic but...

After the Clute mini ten of us went out to play doubles in a mosquito infested Dunbar Park. After their card finished Griff and Tim decided to try their hand at driving 350' to make a field goal on the football field across 2004. I posted some of the highlights on youtube.
