Well, I just priced the cheapest plan I could come up with for a raised island hole. Using that metal landscaping edging and "houston mulch" which is the cheapest at $19 a yard. I was thinking a 40Ft diameter circle (that is smaller than it is now) = 15.5 yards of Houston Mulch and with the edging that total is just under $450 for a 4" high island. Pretty cheap considering but a bit out of the budget for right now, UNLESS someone has another idea. Let the message board chatting begin!

we could drag dirt over but that could be a while from now with all this rain we have been having. Maybe we just make it like it is and mark the circle with a orange rope or something we can mow over. Or we just mow is weekly so there is a clear circle like there is now. I am very open to any suggestions.

You could bury bricks every 3 feet along the circumference. For a 40’ diameter, one would need approximately 42 bricks.

Isn't it bad if it's "really easy" to move the baskets.
