I don't think we can ever do a true bridge over the creek. I am sure the flood control people would freak out. We do need to come up with some kind of concrete plan for erosion control. The current steps r a great start but we need to figure out a way to "save" the cliff from future damage yet also have a quality path to the hole. Everyone put your thinking caps on!

I am happy to announce that Windwood will be delivered a BRAND NEW Commercial Mower for all of it's needs on Tuesday. This thing is amazing and I can't wait to get the course back in shape.

Please do consider making a donation when you play the course. The donation box is by the second tee. Even if everyone that played put in $.50 it would help more than you think. Some players have been very generous and your generosity helped get the mower.

We will be installing the new baskets VERY soon too.

Thanks for your patience.

Did you happen to find an orange destroyer on 17? I think my name and number is on it. My buddy lost it in the high grass.

Wow.. Hole 17 is really coming along... It now has an awesome fairway cut so low it has a real golf course feel to the fairway. The soft grass has grown in really really nice.

Throw out of the fairway and your in trouble for sure locating a disc in the tall grass... but man that fairway is shaping up to the vision we had all along. The banks along the pond still need to be better defined when we get a real long dry spell again.... but what a difference it has made already.
I remember when it use to be completely under water after a big rain and the nut grass along with the crawfish mounds ruled the fairway...

Before you put in the basket for 20 this weekend i think we should revisit the ideas about an island green. If you're starting to do the saturday mini's again maybe some revenue could go toward the landscaping for it. It would make that hole more than just a connector. It would have real character. It would be a ton of extra work to set that basket twice, so i would suggest waiting on 20 for now.

if we can get the labor required to move enough dirt to build this island, i'll get a sleeve and cut the pole and raise the basket up to the proper height... I would love to see this hole become a raised island.....thats a lot of dirt...open to suggestions....lets hear them, where do we get dirt,,, who's willing to shovel it...

the 3 new holes are in.. big thanks to the 6 who showed early to do the work.

we had a great round afterwards, ran into a swarm of nesting bees in the ground on hole 6....beware they are aggressive, they attacked me and my bag...dropped it and they swarmed my bag for 2 hours trying to get into my thermos of hazelnut coffee... left my bag on the hole and finished our round with NO worries someone would walk off with it...it was Guarded big time by the swarm.

Be Careful on hole 6 for now!!!!! they are about 50ft past the tbox by the water....

yeah, I am getting more and more excited about the island hole, hole 20. I was playing a round of ball golf (don't shoot me) and the people I was playing with said their favorite aspect of the green for them was the fact that everytime they play a course the greens are different cause they move the hole. I know some dg courses might have a couple basket locations but I am playing with the idea of changing the green up every couple of weeks. This would be VERY unique for Houston and can make for some interesting shots. We can change the shape, size, location of the basket on the green. We will make very clear tee signage for how ever the green is cut. Can you see it now...an amoeba shaped green one week and a oval the next week and then a rectangle the next. Could be VERY cool. We might even have a design suggestion box at the front desk.

Lightbulb Re: Course Conditions

Shape it like the State of Texas, and announce what city we'll be shooting for that time around. You can move the pin to that city location on the green. WOOHOO!
