The issue still remains funding for the rest of the baskets.

HFDS was kind enough to lend out 9 baskets for awhile, but the church said no, they thought theyd raise the money by now. Now 6 more months have gone by, no funds. The fairways are 80-90% done. I am considering buying the baskets myself and donating them.

I just wanted to say I really like this course. I hadn't been out here since you put in the teeboxes (too hot in the summer for me to play most days), but I really enjoy this course and it's just getting better. I understand your frustration, but keep plugging away at it and know that what you have now is pretty good and hopefully it will just get better when the baskets do come.

Thanks David. Glad you enjoy the course and you can see the potential.

The turn out at 6 just explodes into some awesome holes. The first hole that the pond comes into play is definitely a 3.5 or 4. Through a gap, then a long shot to land by a slightly guarded pin. Great hole. Oh yeah pond on the right of the gap. That land has so much potential...hopefully it doesn't fall by the political wayside.

I have considered arranging the 9 baskets that i do have around the property to make a bunch of par 4s and 5s until we can get 18. I still might do it so at least the course has flow as a big 9 hole configuration while we wait

Derek I think you have an amazing piece of property out there to work with... Doing 9 holes with alternate boxes that create 18 completely different shots, could be the key to having one of the best courses in town out there....Great idea..And could elevate Stonebridge to the top of many players list almost overnight....

Derek,
I agree that a top notch 9 hole course could be amazing. When I was out there a couple months ago I saw some AMAZING basket locations around that lake.
Let me know if you need any help at all.
Peace
Doug

I met with the church last week and there are some changes coming. A new parking lot is being built where I had holes 1 and 2, they have already moved some of the baskets around themselves. Ill be meeting with them again to walk through a layout that a church member came up with and give my suggestions, not sure if they are looking for feedback anymore though.

The good news is that they have also ordered 9 more baskets so there will be a total 18 in the next few months. I will do my best to make sure this doesnt become a pitch and putt but it may be out of my hands from now on.

Had a walkthrough today with David from the church, he wants me to help do the redesign and we will use some of the existing holes. Working on a layout now and the course will be somewhat shorter but not too bad. Planned completion in December.
