I have been told that most of this course is similar to kingwood, true or not?

I wouldn't compare it to Kingwood at all....there are really only a couple of holes that I would call "in the woods", unlike Kingwood which is entirely in the woods! Not that there aren't trees everywhere...there are...but not EVERYWHERE! Derek, you would probably really enjoy this course...you should get together with a small group, preferably someone who's played there before, give Steve a call & make an appointment to head up & spend the day. You will not be disappointed! And thanks to HFDS for putting this one on the list....now if we could only get TLV back on here......

i looked around and i didnt see hours of operation during the weekdays for shawshank, me and the gf are off today and may take a trip up there, but dont want to bother steve if he is at work or something.

We wish to thank everybody for their continuing support of our little backyard variety golf course, no it's not insanely frickin hard... you could beat most people out here with a rock... trees? what trees... two new hole are now cut in through some slightly wooded areas between solitary confinement and death row. we appreciate everybody who makes the trip up to play as your fees help to greatly support our efforts to improve and enhance your #1 rated area disc golf course! this weekend is going to be gorgeous, have a case of portebello mushrooms to grill for all those who wish to come out to play sat and sun. reservations in advance as always, call my cell or the house at 281-682-9446, or 936-295-1722. thanks Steve. ya'll be sure and let Andi Young know what a wonderfull job she and Don are doing out there in the disc golf community, their support is vital to a lot of our area tournaments and the disc golf community in general.

One last thing, pulled out 60 some discs from the front and back pond, now always on display for your retrieval at the wall of ? beneath the carport by the house. get them before warden does...

Cool...I should have a yellow Japan Open Pro Katana from that front pond...given to me by Marty Berry....skipped in during the afternoon round!
