Okay, almost six of eight. Ignoring March they've had 568 players for 540 slots (where a slot is four players per card per hole).

Code:
 88% Jul 63 of 72
108% Jun 78 of 72
 99% May 83 of 84
 93% Apr 78 of 84
 22% Mar 32 of 144

That's a debate for another day....

So if they are allowing more than 72 players they aren't limiting it to 4 players cards and so are short of 90 players.

Also there is no debate, if a hole is "U" shaped and you have to throw 300 to the mando before going 300 back to the hole is a 600ft hole even though the basket may only be 100ft away. This also happens on holes that go 300ft then turns 100ft. You don't measure a straight line through the rough to the basket you measure the shortest flight line a disc would take a long the fairway.

On how many different forums do I have to explain this to you?

"Birdshot typically caps the online entries at 62 allowing for ~10 mail-in entries. If they happen to get more than 10 mail-ins before the deadline they're not going to turn them away and thus some cards will have five."

If you have a mando, then yes. But like I said: debate for a different day....

Did you take a class in threadjacking or something?

So the Birdshot guys are trying to limit the field to 72? I could have sworn they were about getting everyone out to their event and I'm pretty sure filling is 90 players on a 18 hole course and if you don't get that many players wanting to attend I don't consider the event "filled".

The thing is when I act like I know everything at least I have the DG experience to back it up yet you are telling me about course design and measurements as well as tournaments filling and have been playing how long?

Your WRONG on the measurements as you don't measure straight lines through the woods

ERic
It is when the only method of obtaining an entry form has been online.

If they adopt a standard entry form, they can make it available through league directors and such, but NOT EVERYONE CAN GET ON THE COMPUTER AS EASILY AS US.

I'm not one of those folks, but those of us with computers attached at the hip can forget that the WHOLE world isn't like that. We forget that some folks don't have computers at their work and in their home.

You are entitled to your opinion, but I will defer to the guys who actually do the work of running the tournaments as to what they consider their desired capacity.

I've been playing for seven months now. But you would have known that if you'd read 11 posts earlier. Or was that a rhetorical question so you could feel superior? Trust me I'm well aware of my lowly position in the disc golf world pecking order. I would never dream of (nor do I believe that I have been) telling one so accomplished as you how to design a course.

Tell me again how it was that you birdie #13 at Shawshank...

So it went from filling to "desired capacity"? If they were filling there would be people beating on the door to get in. Oh wait there are but they won't ;let them in even though there is plenty of room on the course and send them back to Austin.

So you base the functionality of the way you measure on one hole that if you ask me is retarded. If it were a hole with a fairway it would be different but there isn't.

All I want to know is if you have to throw 300ft to a landing zone and then it doglegs right for 200ft you don't use the hypotenuse of the triangle formed by the tee, landing zone, and basket. You measure along the playing field (fairway)! Luckily we don't have many courses in the area like this but I know Olse did it the right way at MANOR because there are many holes like that and most well designed courses follow suit.

How? I think you should read here post again. Why don't they print out 100 forms and put them at the courses?

I REALLY MISS GIMP!
