They have forms up on most of the gold boxes too! Before they started all this they put out new posts for all 3 tees at all 21 holes too, so the boxes are clearly visible now. Sweet. (A couple tees moved a little, slightly different than about 2 months ago.)

Course still didn't need tees....actually the only reason they are bad is because the city decided to pour gravel onto the boxes a few years back.

Given our experience with The Parks Dept, this backwards method of framing the boxes is a GOOD indication that we'll end up with three lumps of gravel/asphalt on each of the 21 holes, and that is short order, they will be unplayable.

Why do you guys seem to want to brush off the GENUINE concerns of local players?

i would just rather give hpard the benefit of the doubt since they are making an effort for us. we made it as clear as possible to them that we dont ever want crushed gravel, it is a nuisance, and we dont want raised boxes. we were promised a solid surface to tee off from, concrete was not an option. all we can do is wait and see how it turns out.

So, when you see something happening that doesn't appear to have any hope of working....................you are just supposed to stand by and thank them for their efforts??? Maybe that is what is wrong with younger generations, you guys just wait to see what someone else does and go from there.

I hope it all goes as planned and they work great.

If they don't hurry up and pour whatever it is they are going to pour to harden up the tee boxes, they're going to have to bring in more crushed asphalt to fill in the ruts from people playing on the unfinished boxes and they definitely need more forms to fix the busted ones. Number 14 is trashed, plus a few others are coming apart.

They seemed to take a few liberties when they were pouring the asphalt and pointed tees in the wrong direction. This is the first course I've seen where the tee signs point one way, the teepad another, and the basket isn't in either direction.

Based on the other thread, you guys might want to start at MacGregor, just to eyeball the progress the Parks Dept has made. Sounds like project is abandoned as far as they are concerned. Or can you guys tell us when they plan to complete it?

(sorry for thread drift)
