Nope, not abandoned. They plan on finishing soon, but havent given any exact date.

I was out there yesterday to check out the progress. They just need to empty out the forms and put a solid surface down and it should be fine.

Number 14 is trashed, plus a few others are coming apart.

They seemed to take a few liberties when they were pouring the asphalt and pointed tees in the wrong direction. This is the first course I've seen where the tee signs point one way, the teepad another, and the basket isn't in either direction.
Still in progress. I dont think the crushed gravel is part of the final equation but that is yet to be seen

Empty out the forms.......Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Where do you think they will dump the broken stuff???? Do you really think they are going to do that? Why did they fill them in to begin with, if that wasn't their design? Just to make busy work when the real work begins???

The broken up stuff is probably part of the mixture for when they pour in the hot asphault. Might be some extra in there, its not supposed to end up on the course ever again.

My reading indicates that asphalt construction of a roadway involves using a substrate of 'aggregate'. Aggregate is crushed gravel and then the asphalt is used as a binder or glue for the aggregate.

Thus, it appears that the plan is for the aggregate to be put in the forms and then to add the hot asphalt on top to bond the aggregate together.

Here is the wkipedia page for asphalt:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asphalt...phalt_concrete
and construction aggregate:

It is unfortunate that the disc golfers are playing in the unfinished tee-pads because it appears that they have damaged the forms. This will likely delay construction as those forms will have to be repaired before the project can be completed.

Just from experience, if a tbox that is obviously under construction isn't enough to keep inconsiderate people out of them, then sadly no amount of signage, (upside down) caution tape or even a small amount of common sense will work on these people.. When you start box construction, you have to finish it at the same time or it turns out to be wasted effort... Sad huh...
