We have been told by HPARD that construction is not finished and additional improvements will be made.

We can all agree what is there now is better than the gravel piles that used to be there, and we have been told additional improvements are and will be performed on the tee-boxes to the surface and the area around the tee-boxes. I recall HPARD stated they have used tamping so far and will also be using a roller to press the surface, but the areas around the tees have to be built up. it is expected that all gravel around the tees will also have asphalt poured upon it.

My prior research about asphalt roadways which I posted previously on this thread is quoted below. Check it out. The aggregate/gravel is formed into a substrate and then the hot asphalt is poured on top.
I should have read further into the thread, but after playing the course tiwce in the past two days, i will say that it is probably discouraging for players unfamiliar with the course to play it in its current condition and make a fair assessment. There was a lot of gravel that had accumulated at the end of the tee pads that caused a lot of slipping, sliding, and unfortunate shots.

I agree thatmore needs to be done. Parks and rec. knows this too, and they will be doing more. I am hopeful that these problems will be solved.

Before fundraising for concrete for MacGregor, HFDS wants to see what the finished asphalt product will be.

Good luck with the rest of the process. The gold tees out there give the course nice challenge that wasn't there before.

I had at least two tee shots that didn't go where they were supposed to primarily because I slid on the tees that at times felt like they were covered in BB's...

#10 Red seemed especially bad with the front of the box breaking apart.

Unfortunately per PDGA rules if a box is present you must tee off from it, no option to (potentially) more safely tee off from behind.

So, is Agnes an orphan again? Already talking about concrete for MacGregor? I sure hope we will let the most played course in town be the beneficiary of concrete.

Chase mentioned concrete. I was merely explaining why concrete was not being considered for McG, yet.

By the way, more private funding is available for McG.

Come to a meeting, Suemac. Not only would it be nice to see you, you might end up having less question marks over your emoticon.

Wish my schedule would make meetings easier, as I love the location. I've been away from things for some time, but maybe that is changing.
