Before the gravel pits there were dirt tees, not great but not unsafe. You could at least tee off behind the flags up to 3 meters(that's for Eric).

Now it seems there are designated tee boxes, so the RULES apply.

The TD of the tourney has the discretion to change the tees for safer reasons. Why was this not done and not an issue? JMO

Billy you said you played out there three times and didn't see a problem, your old with no run-up, could that be the problem. JOKE Some have longer runups and need more of a stable tee box, think about the other players. They think they count too. LOL

The TD could have put out flags to move the boxes and make them safer. I think Chris Mag would have thought about that being a course designer and all. JMO

I played them ahead of time and noticed the little gravel pieces on the teeboxes. I knew that they were not perfect, but I have to say as someone who is very sensitive to bad teeboxes that they were way better than the old dirt. I didn't slip once during the rounds. For the most part the back of the box was level enough to start off the back of it. I have played way worse. I appreciate the opinions of others, but I have to offer my positive opinion. The fact that they were almost all a flat surface, goes way above the old tees, other grass tees, and IMO the rubber flypads.

You might have slipped once or twice or three times and not noticed, considering where you finished.

I played MacGregor three times in the past month, playing both red and gold tees. My opinion of the tees were that they were better than they used to be and additionally better than most of the courses I frequently play. Not one person who I asked about the tee boxes felt that they were a big enough issue to relocate a box. Most folks thought they were a big improvement to the course.

Have you ever asked for anything? No, you already know what you want. Right or Wrong.

Dead fish in a barrel can become a stink. So try to keep the water in the barrel fresh. Don't fault the consumer, they have a voice.

If the complaints become to harsh, just wait they can get worst, the life of a TD is a BIATCH, Good luck and best wishes.

Not against you, just trying to inform you of what can and will come.

I disagree. I think it is great to do things for other people, regardless of the crud I get from some folks who didn't even show up to play.

Cool Re: How to thank City Council for Asphalt Tee-boxes

Sounds like an umpire-type broom would've done wonders out there.
