The drawback to concrete boxes is you can't move them (as Neal has said before)....but it's easy enough to flag alts, so that's not a big deal. Again...sorry that we (Birdshot) didn't completely & accurately "test" those boxes before the tourney, i.e. using the patented Vandapproach or something along those lines! More input from the pros is always welcome....and would be even more beneficial to get that kind of input BEFORE the event, as opposed to after.
any idea why they didn't just pour concrete to begin with? are the gravel tee pads not stationary like the concrete?

Are ball bearings stationary?

I didn't get the impression there was a final "glaze" step on this project. It sounded more like, brush it off, and it will be done. Suggest we be dilligent and watch to see what happens......and go from there.

Didn't sound like there was much chance of this project expanded on their end to other parks. It was obvious that private funds will be required to get things done in a manner that will be longterm durable.

My assumption was based on my conversation with the Parks guy, not Richard's posted explaination of what the process generally represents in the "real" world. I agree, that if they actually poured something hot/sticky asphalt.........it would be better, but that wasn't what I was told.

Have to disagree a bit with the pouring of the sticky. If you've been on a freshly poured road, you know why. Just be prepared and bring a broom. It's Halloween anyways!
