this isnt really a ratings question, but i think it may fit in some here.
i plan on attending my first sanctioned tourney at brooks in rec. no biggie right? well, givin ill need a hotel and food for the 2 days just to make the experience better for me and my girlfriend instead of waking up before jesus that Saturday to make check in. i may be short of cash to get my pdga membership before i register for the tourney in time to not lose my spot. so my question is. if i register for the tourney, then get my membership after ive paid my extra 10 bucks. say the next week. does that cause alot of problems with the whole process of things? if not and id just get my 10 bucks back ill probably just donate the 10 to whatever our area needs for the sport. ace pot, course maint. or states etc. also, how long of a time frame will the pdga need to be able to post my round ratings if i did this? |

It's pretty much automated; I'd say by the evening after the event you'll know your round ratings. Don't expect it between rounds though, that was a bit too much at MacGregor. |

The PDGA is usually pretty good about going back and giving you ratings for all the sanctioned tourneys you played prior to joining, in the year you joined after joining up with them... if you specifically request it. E.g. You paid the $10 non-member fee for two tournament in June 2010 and July 2010. They will be unrated for you. You join the PDGA in September 2010. You then send the PDGA an e-mail requesting that they rate your rounds in June and July. They should rate any sanctioned events you played in 2010, but not prior to that. |

Print out your confirmation email from the PDGA and bring it along. We had three folks join the PDGA between registering for MacGregor and playing. We're always happy to refund the non-PDGA fee and it's great to see new members playing in Birdshot events.

Not to be the negative Nancy but correct me if I'm wrong Eric is that if he plays the event and is not current then he'll have to pay the $10 (which he did) but if he decides to become a member the pdga will apply that $10 to his membership (which will carry through next year at this point)
There is not a refund from us. Because we have pay the fee to the pdga.
