All I'm gonna say is if you park your mexican butt in Novice, I swear I'll send Conall down to every tournament in the Novice division just to whoop your butt! LOL! MOVE UP! LOL!

Alright...I keep moving up (which is a good thing!)...841 now.....STILL NOVICE!!!! I hated it when they went to this a couple of years ago...why can't it just be REC?! Oh well....I'll still keep playing in the old man's division...I just wish I was a better player!

If your are happy with your actual game or how it's progressing, then the number or rating doesnt mean jack..$&it. It's only there to boost those who have fragile egos..Did you throw better than your competition? And did you have fun either way...

Billy quit you're complaining. Wait until everyone figures out how you, Chuck and I gamed the rating's system to synchronize our ratings.

I think ratings are useful in measuring the small, incremental improvements over a longer period. Sometimes I don't notice that I'm playing 1 or 2 throws better (or worse) on a course than previously. I don't consider myself as having a fragile ego, but I like knowing whether I'm a little or a lot different than my "usual" score. Although I like to compete against other people, I don't get as much pleasure out of knowing that I "beat" someone as I do from knowing that I played well above my average.

In the end though Scott, you're right it's about whether you're having fun playing or not. I can have fun even if I know I'm playing a bad round. How often have you seen me get "down" when I'm having a bad round? "A day of bad disc golf is still better than a day without any disc golf."
