We had a great experience up here at Shawshank building benches with a volunteer staff for our course, If anybody thinks these type of benches would work for jack brooks, we can mass produce the same type up here, paint them and then haul them down with our truck and trailer to be intsalled on the courses down there. They were very cost effective to build, the hardest part was drilling the holes up here in drought conditions. They should dig in very easy down there, as the ground is mostly gumbo and fairly moist. Can you post a picture of your benches? We came up with a design that run about $45-$50 a bench that we're putting in at Northside.

Workday this Saturday morning 1/8/11. We're gonna be improving surface runoff drainage on the new course, and hopefully build some forms for teepads. Come on out and bring some shovels, gloves, and wheelbarrows if you got 'em. It's good exercise for that New years resolution.

Thanks to all that turned out for a very productive work day at Brooks Saturday. It is amazing how much can be done when a group of people so up to work.

Hole 2 on the Hills course will drain now.

The crew also prep-ed tee boxes for holes 2, 4 & 8. Next weekend concrete. Try and make it out. We could use the help.

Work day Sunday afternoon. After RJ's mini we're going to work of tee boxes #7 & 9 or do some clearing work on #11. Regardless, come out with a pair of gloves and the will to help.
