A group is working Sunday after the mini this Sunday. Please consider coming out and throwing a round early then helping prep the course for States. You'll see why after you play the Hills course. T-box frames are looking really cool and will help drop strokes from you game.

NOTICE:
Next weekend 21 thru the 23, concrete will be poured on the hills course. We will need all hands on deck with wheelbarrows, gloves and rakes. If anyone has concrete finishing tools, we are in need...

I'm planning on being there on Sunday to work and will try to bring along extra hands to help.

Update for tomorrow and Sunday workdays:
Saturday we're starting around 1:30pm. Meet behind the Veterans Memorial area. It's too cold to pour concrete so we plan to work on building bridges and forms for the Tee boxes. We'll also do some minor drainage work and mulching so bring appropriate tools.
Sunday, we'll start earlier (9amish) so long as no minis are scheduled at the Meadows course. If so, we'll start after lunch again.

We may do some clearing for the temp course. So bring your chainsaws and pole saws.

Many thanks to the folks who beleive! We are doing this for YOU!

The county has a huge chipper (down at the time) but should be up and running soon. If you want to bring em and drop em back by the maintenance shed we chip em.

I spent the day at Brooks yesterday working in the morning and mapping courses in the afternoon. The Cedar Hills course is looking better each time I visit and the changes to the Gulf Meadows course will certainly make it a more challenging course. The new tee box on 18 makes it the signature hole on the course now; what a great place for the box.

The third course falls somewhere in between the Hills and the Meadows in terms of difficulty; as long as the Hills but mostly open like the Meadows. It fits right between the two in terms of play and best of all, it feels like a Jack Brooks Park course.

There is still a lot of work to on the courses and any helping hands out there will be put to good use on the courses. If you've got chainsaws, shovels, saws, machetes, rope or just a hand to offer get out to Brooks on the weekends and help out.

I talked to Jake this morning & it turns out that it's too wet to bring out the big backhoe to dig out boxes, but the plan for this weekend is to hopefully get some boxes that are already set poured...plus more trimming & mulch spreading on the Hills course. Meet at the Veterans side parking lot between 9:30 & 10:00 and the Brooks Bros. will find something for you to do! Bring a wheelbarrow if you have one....rakes, shovels, trimmers, etc....most of all, bring yourselves!
